About INPLP

A not-for-profit international network of qualified professionals providing expert counsel on legal and compliance issues relating to data privacy.

History

2015 — Following the advancement of European data protection legislation with the entry into force of the GDPR, EuroCloud Austria established a network of independent lawyers and IT specialists to analyse and guide the practical impact of this evolution. In its beginnings, the project was exclusively an activity in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland).

2017 — Organisation of the project — then called CPC — transferred to EuroCloud Europe (Luxembourg), and it grew more international. Representatives in more than 30 countries became involved.

2020 — The project was renamed INPLP (International Network of Privacy Law Professionals) and its organisation transferred to Sourcing International (Vienna) — also marking the start of the GDPR Fines Database.

Since — INPLP has compiled and released hundreds of short treatises on the legal and practical aspects of data and technology, read by hundreds of thousands of people worldwide.
